School - Special Tutorial Session
The Special Tutorial Session (School) in solid state physics will take place just before the Conference, on Wednesday to Friday (1-3 September 2021). There will be five lectures during the school given by outstanding scientists and addressed to undergraduate, PhD students, and young researchers. The aim is to expose young people to new ideas and concepts from the frontier of semiconductor physics, and provide an opportunity to interact with renowned scientists, leaders of their field of study.
Invited speakers
Alberto Morpurgo, University of Geneva, Switzerland
Ionic gating of two-dimensional materials
Alexandre Blais, Université de Sherbrooke, Canada
Quantum computing with superconducting qubits
Philip Moll, EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland
Transport properties of FIB microstructured topological metals (TBC)
Gregory Fuchs, Cornell University, USA
Quantum emission from single defects in wide-bandgap materials
Michał Zieliński, Nicolaus Copernicus University, Toruń, Poland
