Oral and Poster presentations
POSTER PRESENTATIONS
There are three poster sessions planned during the Conference: on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, see the program. Each day the session is divided into two parts: A - an afternoon one - taking place after the lunch, and B - an evening one – starting after the evening oral session. Please, make sure that your poster is displayed before the afternoon session starts, and remove it when the evening session concludes. Soft poster boards are of a size of 115 (width) x 140 (height) cm. Push pins will be provided.
ORAL PRESENTATIONS (Invited & Contributed)
Invited presentations are 45 minutes in length, consisting of 40 minutes for your presentation and 5 minutes for questions.
Contributed oral presentations are 15 minutes in length, consisting of 12 minutes for your presentation and 3 minutes for questions.
An exact time of your presentation will be given in the Conference program to be found at: www.jaszowiec.edu.pl/program.
For oral presentations a high resolution overhead projector connected with the Conference laptop will be provided. The latter runs under Windows OS and is equipped with Office 2007 package and the Acrobat Reader. Should you prefer to give your talk from your personal device, please make sure that it is equipped with HDMI port. In any case, we strongly advise to check sufficiently in advance the compatibility of the presentation or the personal device with the equipment in the lecture hall. This should eliminate reproduction quality disappointments and/or other blood pressure building technical glitches during your talk. In order to download or test the presentation our technical stuff will be present at the lecture hall half an hour before and after every conference session (see the program for relevant details).
Important notice to Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday oral presenters.
This year again the Program Committee decided that in order to allow more in-depth discussions with the authors of the oral contributions, which are by a tough schedule limited to 3 minutes only during the sessions, every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday oral presenting person is kindly requested to prepare in advance and post during the successive poster session an extended summary of the presentation. So, morning presentations are expected to be posted at the after-lunch poster session, evening presentations - during the evening poster session. Look up the Conference program for details. Poster boards will be provided in the poster session hall. It has to be noted, that no dedicated poster is required, however, will be welcomed. A collection of the most important slides of the presentation printed on A4 sheets, arranged on the board, plus a well visible title will do the job. The Program Committee believes that this extra effort will turn greatly beneficial for the authors of the oral presentations as they will have a far greater chance to discuss the details of their work with other participants of the Conference. We note, with regret, that Thursday and Friday oral presenters are deprived of this privilege - there is no poster session on that day :(
